Solar System WebQuest

You are assigned to work with a partner to research a planet. Your tasks are as follows:

  1. Fill out a survey for your planet. Click here for the survey. Highlight the survey, and then copy and paste it into a word processing document. Print it off so you can fill it out. You may get information from your textbook, the library, books in class, and the Web. Click here for a list of some good websites to look at.
  2.

  3. Make a HyperStudio project with 5 pages in your stack. It must include the information from the survey sheet. Use the following guidelines:
    1. Use appropriate graphics.
    2. Check for good sentences and spelling.
    3. Keep your buttons that move you from page to page consistent.
    4. You may put sounds in your stack, but keep them to a minimum, so as to not take away from the quality of your stack.
    5. Both partners should be involved with making the stack.

To see a copy of the rubric used as a scoring guide click here.

  4. If you finish the HyperStudio project early, you may design a brochure using the brochure template on your computer. The brochure should be a tri-fold travel brochure. It should include a few facts about your planet, but it should also have some fictional ideas for travel. If someone traveled to your planet, what would they do there for fun?
